Dissipative Particle Dynamic Simulation of Oil-Water Two-Phase Flow in Quartz Slits

Aiming to study the characteristics and mechanism of oil-water two-phase flow, based on method dissipative particle dynamics (DPD), meso-scale models pressure-driven flow in quartz slits with width 5-15 nm were simulated. Water is driving phase. The results show that, as liquid flew, it stratified gradually. stratification came earlier width, force increased. slit 5 was slug while velocity profiles other showed parabolic characteristics. When stratified, gradient near-wall area decreased a result low momentum exchange rate between from water oil. density peaks fluid appeared at fluid-solid interface interface, caused by interaction repulsion, respectively. oil phase stronger aggregation due attractive wall. saturation 25%, droplet surrounded 75%, stratified. As repulsive two phases decreased, surface tension mixing degree increased, profile more obvious.
